Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven (ロマンシング サガ2 リベンジオブザセブン)
is a full 3D remake of the 1P turn-based RPG video game Romancing SaGa 2 (1993/2016)
developed by Xeen Inc. and release by Square Enix.
On June 18, 2024, release was announced for Oct 24, 2024, for Nintendo Switch & PlayStation 4/5 (physical releases) and on Steam (Windows only). Square Enix official site and Press Release.

STORY
Long ago, the Seven Heroes once saved humanity and became legend.

TRANSLATION
The Japanese names have not changed since 1993. There are some differences with the Remaster official translation but for names of places, characters, items, etc., most of it has been kept as-is. The dialogues of the cutscenes are all new in Japanese also, although based on the more succinct original text; the translation is at times very whimsical (i.e. unfaithful to the original Japanese, be it in word, tone or meaning, which means it's just bad), which is not a surprise.

For the record, here are some differences with the Remaster translation (2016). Fortunately there are a number of clear improvements, and unfortunately a number far-fetched if not erroneous attempts and persisting mistranslations.
